Genea Newcastle will be closing on Wednesday 2oth December 2023 and the clinic officially reopens on Monday 8th January 2024. Minimal staff will be working for essential services during this period.
Our cut off dates for treatment in 2023 are as follows:
- IVF cycles: FSH injections must be started by Thursday 30th November 2023 at latest. Please note this is subject to available space.
If you are on a long down-regulation cycle the last date to start the pill is Saturday 4th November 2023.
- Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET): LMP by Saturday 2nd December 2023
- Intrauterine Insemination (AIH or DI): LMP by Saturday 2nd December 2023
Please be aware if your cycle ends up being long and treatment extends into our closing period, we will need to cancel your cycle.
For those ladies who need pregnancy tests or pregnancy monitoring over the Xmas break, we will be open for blood tests on the non-public holiday weekdays. Times to be confirmed.
Treatment in 2024
- IVF cycle – Long down regulation cycle: Pill start from Saturday 2nd December 2023 – FSH start from Friday 29th December 2023 (subject to availability).
- IVF cycle – Antagonist cycle: Period from Tuesday 2nd January 2024 – FSH start from Thursday 4th January 2024 (subject to availability).
- Frozen Embryo Transfers (FET) : Must wait until LMP is (or later than): Friday 29th December 2023.
- Intrauterine Insemination (AIH or DI): Must wait until LMP is (or later than): Friday 29th December 2023.
