Genea Newcastle will be closing on Friday 19th December 2025 and the clinic officially reopens on Wednesday 7th January 2026. Minimal staff will be working for essential services during this period.
Our cut off dates for treatment in 2025 are as follows:
- IVF cycles: FSH injections must be started by Thursday 27th November 2025 at latest. Please note this is subject to available space.
If you are on a long down-regulation cycle the last date to start the pill is Saturday 1st November 2025.
- Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET): LMP by Saturday 29th November 2025 (depending on your cycle length)
- Intrauterine Insemination (AIH or DI): LMP by Saturday 29th November 2025 (depending on your cycle length)
Please be aware if your cycle ends up being long and treatment extends into our closing period, we will need to cancel your cycle.
For those ladies who need pregnancy tests or pregnancy monitoring over the Xmas break, we will be open for blood tests on the non-public holiday weekdays. Times to be confirmed.
Treatment in 2026
- IVF cycle – Long down regulation cycle: Pill start from Saturday 6th December 2025 – FSH start from Friday 2nd January 2026 (subject to availability).
- IVF cycle – Antagonist cycle: Period from Saturday 27th December 2025 – FSH start from Monday 29th December 2026 (subject to availability).
- Frozen Embryo Transfers (FET) : Must wait until LMP is (or later than): Monday 29th December 2025.
- Intrauterine Insemination (AIH or DI): Must wait until LMP is (or later than): Monday 29th December 2025.
